FixGrid Academy Labs

Learning paths & lab certificates

Complete every Interactive Lab in a path to earn a verifiable FixGrid Academy certificate of diagnostic competency.

Laundry & refrigeration diagnostic fundamentals

Residential Technician Path

Certifies structured diagnosis of the three complaints that fill a residential schedule — no drain, no heat, and no cooling. The track proves a repeatable order of operations: confirm the complaint, rule out the cheap causes, then prove the component with a measurement before condemning it.

3 requirements

Component mastery, diagnostic method, sequence intelligence

Technical Systems Technician Path

The Academy's deepest credential. It certifies component-level understanding across motors, pumps, sensors, protection devices, control boards, wiring, inverters and system controls, a repeatable diagnostic method, and the ability to read machine sequences and locate a fault at the stage where it occurs.

16 requirements

Every certificate is verifiable

Each certificate carries a unique credential ID that a customer, employer, or property manager can check on our public verification page — no account required.

Verify a certificate

Lab progress is currently saved in this browser. Clearing site data or switching devices resets it — account-linked progress is coming with the next Academy release.

What a FixGrid Academy certificate proves

It is not a record of seat time. Each certificate is issued only after you work every diagnostic lab in a path to a confirmed cause, so it states what you can actually do: isolate a no-drain, no-heat, or no-cool complaint in order, separate airflow from defrost and sealed-system faults, and prove a component with a measurement before you condemn it. The certificate lists the demonstrated skills and the labs behind them, so the claim is specific enough to stand up in an interview.

How verification works

Every certificate carries a unique credential ID printed on the document. Anyone can enter that ID on the public verification page and get an immediate answer: valid or not, which learning path it covers, and the issue date. No login, no email, no phone call — which is exactly what a hiring manager or a facilities customer needs.

Why competence-based credentials matter

Customers cannot audit your process; they only see the invoice and whether the fault came back. A credential tied to demonstrated diagnostic decisions gives independent technicians something concrete to show — and gives commercial accounts a reason to trust an unfamiliar tech with a walk-in cooler or a rooftop unit.
