Welcome to FixGrid. By accessing or using our website, mobile experience, AI diagnostics, DIY guides, or technician booking marketplace (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
1. The FixGrid Platform
FixGrid is a technology platform that connects homeowners and businesses with local independent appliance and HVAC repair technicians, and provides AI-powered diagnostics and DIY repair guides. FixGrid is not a repair contractor and does not itself perform repair services. Technicians listed on the platform are local independent businesses, not employees or agents of FixGrid.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract to use the Services.
3. Bookings, Pricing & Service Calls
A standard service call is $79 and is waived if you approve the repair quote. Final pricing is provided by the assigned local independent technician after on-site diagnosis. A platform fee may apply and will be displayed in your booking summary before checkout.
4. DIY Guides ($29.99 Unlock)
DIY guides are sold as one-time digital unlocks. Due to their digital nature, sales are final once the guide has been viewed. DIY guides are provided for informational purposes only — follow all manufacturer and local safety codes, and disconnect power, gas, and water before any work.
5. Subscriptions ($49 / $99 plans)
Subscription plans renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. AI Diagnostics
Our AI diagnostics are provided as a guidance tool, not a guaranteed diagnosis. Always confirm with a qualified local technician before performing any repair.
7. Independent Technicians
Local technicians on FixGrid operate as independent businesses. FixGrid performs reasonable onboarding checks but does not warrant the work, insurance, or licensing of any individual technician beyond what each technician represents on their profile. Any service contract is between you and the technician.
8. Prohibited Use
You agree not to misuse the Services, attempt to reverse-engineer the platform, or use it to harass technicians or other users.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FixGrid is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Services or any repair performed by an independent technician booked through the platform.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
