The call
You arrive at a residential call for a 4-year-old front-load washer. The customer says the machine runs a full cycle but the door stays locked and there is always water left in the drum.
The machine fills normally and tumbles normally. The customer has already tried running a second rinse and drain cycle with no change. There is no error code on the display.
Your job is to isolate the failure inside the drain circuit — filter, hose, pump, or control — without replacing parts you have not tested.
