Machine runs but produces no ice
On the IYT (indigoNXT), the most common cause is a scale-coated evaporator preventing harvest. Run a full clean before condemning parts.
Diagnostic flow
- 1
Inspect the condenser coil
Air-cooled units must have clear airflow. Vacuum or fin-comb the front coil quarterly.
- 2
Verify water supply pressure
Should be 20–80 PSI. Below 20 = inlet valve or supply restriction.
- 3
Check the water-curtain switch
Lift the curtain — control should stop the harvest cycle and return to freeze. Stuck switch = no harvest.
- 4
Run a clean cycle
Use Manitowoc Cleaner per the label (typ 9 oz). Two full rinse cycles after. Scale on the evap is the #1 hidden cause of no-ice.
- 5
Sanitize
Follow cleaner with Manitowoc Sanitizer (1 oz per gallon of water) and one rinse cycle.
