E15 error — water in the leak tray
The Aquastop tray senses any drop of water on the cabinet floor and locks the inlet valve. Often a one-time spill — not a hardware failure.
Diagnostic flow
- 1
Power off and tilt
Disconnect power. Tilt the dishwasher backward 45° and hold for 60 seconds — water in the tray runs to the rear and trips the float reset.
- 2
Towel the cabinet floor
Slide a towel under the unit and let any residual water wick out before restoring power.
- 3
Restore and test
Stand the unit upright, plug in, run Rinse. If E15 returns within minutes, you have an actual leak — inspect the door gasket and sump.
- 4
Inspect for slow leaks
Most common: hairline crack in the heat-pump body or a torn sump gasket. Replace the affected part.
