A dry run with no part replaced
Decision rule: Mismatched firmware after a part swap is a software problem until the versions match.
Practise the sequence on the next connected machine you open, before there is any pressure to order a part. The goal is a written identity line and four version numbers in under ten minutes.
Write the identity line the way every lab in this track writes it: Brand • Model • Serial. When the model string is not one you recognise, keep it anyway — the string the customer owns beats the family you assumed.

- Classify: connected / offline / non-connected
- Four versions written down: main, UI, inverter or drive, Wi-Fi or hub
